Tasked with creating an inviting Design office, the brief was to bring a distinct residential-vibe to an essentially commercial space. Where mood-boards hung alongside original art, tapestries, and sculpture.
A palette of honey-toned woods from dark to light and metal accents reflect in the choice of Ash desks, linear Italian Walnut furniture, chrome and brass accessories. As a contrast the patterned tapestries, wall hangings, subtle upholstery, and cream carpeting soften the starker white box grid of the office. Industrial lighting is mellowed with lamps throughout the space giving the feel of an apartment to the workplace. The aim to create a space clients could feel totally at home.
The handmade tapestries from Art de lys France and the wallhangings from a Paris based artist sit along curated sculptures, antiques, and locally sourced art. The geometric curves of the two seaters and armchairs from Bross Italia’s hotel and residential collections provide niches of comfortable seating for client meetings. Whilst the chrome and white leather Eames style desk chairs maintain a practical, and stylish office aesthetic.
Crafting the interiors to suit customer and client movement, the rooms are portioned to create layering and flow through the office space. Fresh flowers, lush plants, consoles and gold mirrors bring in the green and elegance underscoring the residential vibe. The aim to create a timeless and welcoming office space for personalised customer service and attention.
